This pamphlet gives a brief summary of the "Together We Can Win" workbook and video package. The package contains a workbook (in binder form) and a 20-minute video. The workbook provides useful information and exercises that take the injured worker from injury, to rehabilitation, to returning to work. In this way, others can learn from their experiences, and apply them to starting new groups and committees or strengthening existing ones. (71 Pages)

In 1992, we completed a survey on literacy among injured workers. We found that 40% had trouble dealing with written correspondence. In response, the "Plain Talk" manual was developed. This manual includes everything needed to put on an awareness raising workshop for counsellors, WCB staff, or anyone else working with injured or disabled clients with limited literacy skills. It was designed to be user-friendly. The contents are informative, and laid out in a step-by-step manner. Sample agendas and exercises such as a literacy quiz are included. 19 pages.
