Research Deadline Extended to May 28, 2021 – Injured Workers and Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic

Are you a Canadian Injured Worker?
The Canadian Injured Workers Alliance and its team of researchers are looking for Canadians who have had a workplace injury to take part in a study on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For this study you will be asked to complete a short survey on the impact of the pandemic on you. All responses will be used to generate knowledge to create action plans to support injured workers.

Apr 28 2021 is the Day of Mourning for workers killed, injured or made ill as a result of their work. Bui Thi Hiep and Benito Quesada, two people who worked at Cargill meatpacking plant in High River, Alberta, and Armando Sallegue, father of a Cargill worker, died in Apr-May 2020 as a result of contracting COVID-19.
